I used to buy these when they first came out & for years afterwards because they were soft & doughey & toasted beautifully.
I just bought them this week after months & months of them not being available & now I understand why. The recipe has completely changed! They are revolting!! Disgusting taste, & so dry you’d get better enjoyment using it as a frisbee & not much more. Doesn’t even taste like food anymore..,,,more like cardboard.
I recently bought them for a party for dip (which I have done for years & they disappear in seconds!)…… the entire bowl of pita slices was left untouched. Not a single person ate them. The entire texture is completely different. What a let down! It was such an amazing product that clearly some accountant decided could be made cheaper ……well u certainly achieved that & I will certainly not be buying it anymore as a result. Nor the other ppl I converted onto these. What a disaster & huge mistake Genius bread makers!! Certainly not a genius move on your part that’s for sure.
